COMMUNICATION

I recognize that FCA Lacrosse Georgia's communication has been inconsistent through this change in the ministry. I take full responsibly for this and I intend to change that starting today. I ask for grace and thank you for your patience through this time. Myself and the Leadership Board are putting an emphasis on communication and we are excited to be a united front as we seek to transform the Georgia lacrosse community by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

We will be using multiple communication platforms, so please follow @fcalacrossega (see below for social media accounts). Stay tuned for more ways to hear more as we continue to expand our impact through the ministry focused model!

Hoya Families,

We are excited to announce that we will be launching BGLC (Be Great Lacrosse Club) this summer. Our program will focus on the continued development of all players, at any level. Team cohesion is one of the most important aspects of lacrosse, so the more “together” playing time, the better.  The emphasis will be honing in on fundamentals and provide players the ability to play with their friends while having fun.. Let’s Go Have Fun!

We have secured the back turf at Harrison High School for practices.  For the boys that have not committed to a summer program, we will offer a team for them to play on this summer. Spring Introductory Clinics
by posted 01/31/2019

Parents,

Our Introductory Clinics will take place this Saturday (Feb 2) at Lost Mountain Park.  The field we will be using is the first field on your right after you enter the park.  This is strongly recommended for any first year players.  This will teach them the basics of Lacrosse, what they can be practicing at home and have them prepared for the first practice to fully participate in team activities.  We will also have a brief parent introduction to rules of the game so you will be able to follow the flow of the games and be more prepared to cheer on your son or daughter

If you have not registered for the clinic yet and would like to attend, please do so at our website (www.hoyayouthlacrosse.com).

Girls Clinic: 10:00am
Boys Clinic: 11:00am

The girls will need their stick, goggles and a mouthpiece.  For the boys, feel free to have them wear all of their equipment, but at a minimum we would need them to bring their stick, helmet, mouthpiece and gloves.  Also bring a water bottle for the kids to stay hydrated.  We will take several water breaks to ensure all of them stay hydrated.

This is a FREE Clinic.  This is a great opportunity for new players to have an understanding of what to expect and be prepared to paricipate in team practice.

In the event of inclement weather, we will notify attendees regarding the status of the clinic as soon as we can.

Thanks,

Hoya Youth Lacrosse Board

We will be holding a Fall Introductory Clinic on Sunday August 19th at Lost Mountain Park.  The Boys will be from 2 to 3:30 pm and the Girls will be from 3:30 to 5 pm.

This is Strongly Recommended for any first year players.  This will teach them the basics of Lacrosse, what they can be practicing at home and have them prepared for the first practice to fully participate in team activities.  We will also have a brief parent introduction to rules of the game so you will be able to follow the flow of the games and be more prepared to cheer on your son or daughter.

We have created a sign-up for this, so we will know how many people will be attending and we have enough coaches and players on hand to help teach.  This is a FREE Clinic.  This is a great opportunity for new players to have an understanding of what to expect and be prepared to paricipate in team practice.

Fall 2018 Registration
by posted 07/04/2018

Registration for HYLA Fall 2018 Lacrosse is now open!

The Fall 2018 season will run from late August until November with the first gameday scheduled for September 8.  We will update the website with more details and specific dates as they become available.

Please register as soon as possible.  We need to order uniforms with enough lead time to have them for the first games.

Registration fees for the Fall are $185 per player, which will include a new uniform.  The girls programs will be receiving new uniforms for the fall season that will carry over to the spring season in 2019.  The boys programs will use the same uniform as the past spring season, so fees for the fall will be $160 for those boys who have an existing uniform.  For those new to lacrosse, the uniform consists of shorts, socks, shooter shirt and jersey.  If you do not already have it, you will need to purchase all other euipment items (pads, sticks, helmets, mouthguards, etc) separately from local sporting goods stores or from lacrosse retailers.

Registration will remain open until August 15, 2018.
